To Tweet Or Not To Tweet

I have to give some props first off to Chris for prompting me to express my confusion over Twitter.

If you don’t know, twitter.com asks you to answer one simple question, “what are you doing right now?” Sounds simple enough right? Wrong.

All of the tweets, as they call them, appear in this format: taawd is watching the “Young & the Restless”. He’s watched it for years.

Here’s my question, I’m sure the above format is the right way but I end up changing narration through the tweet. My entry looks like this: taawd is getting tired but I’ve already slept a little bit today.

Some people treat their tweets like this: taawd Check out the new video I posted on facebook.

Does anyone else share this frustration and confusion? taawd does, he really really does.

  1. Glad I could inspire!

Seriously, I always thought Twitter was a lot less 3rd person-y compared to Facebook … until I started looking closer … and I realise it IS supposed to be 3rd person.

I did unhook my Facebook from Twitter though, because I got tired of the same thing posting in both.

  2. I’ll admit it, I don’t know how twitter works… and just like I had no intention of joining facebook and had no intention of ever blogging, I have no intention of learning how twitter works. We’ll see how long that works out.
