Animotion Ain’t Got Nothing On Me

Yep, I’ll admit it, I’m a little bit of an obsessive person.

I’m sure that comes as a great shock to people who know me. When I do something, I do it all the way. There’s no half way, just jump in feet first.

I’m playing this travian game which is the worst for someone with an obsessive personality. Thank God they never had webkins when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure I would have never seen the sun.

I go through cycles. Music obsession (which never quite ends), TV obsession (talk to me about Charmed, Family Guy and Heroes), Working out (we won’t talk about that right now) and just relaxing (I hope that cycle comes around again soon).

I got obsessed by blogging. I love it but as of late have been a little less than loyal to my hobby. I went through the myspace phase. I have facebook but I’m not as interested in it. I love the twitter. Follow me if you aren’t already!

My place is a mess right now. I was supposed to have an inspection today but it was postponed. Good thing too!

I am loving life right now even though it’s doggone busy. I can’t believe tomorrow’s Friday already. I need a weekend like nobody’s bizniss.

Good point of the day, filling up my vehicle for less than $40! I even got a car wash. Yup, I know it was a gray day and rainy to boot but what the heck. Car washes (the no non-touch kind) are like a moth to a candle for me. I could sit in one of those little tin boxes all day and watch those brushes spin around.

taawd memory alert
: when I was a kid my parents would get their car washed at this one place that had what we called the “hula woman” at the end. It was big row of red strips of cloth that would dance back and forth. I think for a hot second I actually thought there was some fat woman up above shaking her moneymaker. I mean after all it was her job right?

Maybe that’s why I’m still obsessed with car washes. You didn’t see that ending to this post didja?

Monday TV on Tuesday

Talk about a wonder-what-to-do situation…

I love CBS Monday night comedies. Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Two & A Half Men. There’s a new show but I didn’t DVR it so… I’ll have to catch the repeat or watch it online.

Here’s the problem, Heroes (insert geek comment here) is back on and my DVR isn’t set to record it. It will be, believe me! I’m going to have to watch it online instead of on the HDTV.

I just watched Big Bang Theory and I think they’re going to have another great season. I didn’t even think it would last one season.

I’m watching How I Met Your Mother now and it’s just as good as last season too.

Sleep awaits me right now so I won’t get to see Heroes or Two & A Half Men. I love watching these shows (the comedies) with other people or at least hear their opinions.

I just need some time to actually enjoy the new season of prime time. By the way, the e*trade commercial with the baby talking is hilarious. I think I’d underestimate the creepiness of a clown too.

Monday TV Mash-Up

Since I’ve only been home for about an hour and a half, I can’t give you too much information about my favorite Monday TV shows that range from NBC to CBS to Showtime. Thank God for the dual tuner and DVR.

Let’s start with “Heroes”. I can’t think of too much new to say about this incredible series. It’s well written and keeps everyone guessing what will happen next. Tonight, we got to find out more about Matthew Parker’s dad, who Molly calls “the boogeyman”. We quickly found out he’s not a nice person. We also find out more about Peter and him regaining his memory. He’s also being stalked by a woman with electric powers who fried Peter’s girlfriend’s brother at the pub. Next Monday promises to be just as good as the producers claim more questions will be answered.

Next, “The Big Bang Theory” – Leonard gets lucky with a fellow scientist, Leslie. She’s played by Sara Gilbert, Johnny Galecki‘s love interest in “Roseanne”. The interesting thing about this show is it’s the first time that Penny (Kaley Cuoco) appears interested in Leonard. She also smiles whens she walks away after hearing there isn’t probably a future with Leslie. This continues to be a good show.

Heroes: Landslide

An episode of answers and of course, more twists. At the end of last week’s show it appeared as if Peter wouldn’t be able to control his new power he got from Ted. Fortunately, Peter was able to control the power. Linderman pulled a couple of miracles for Nathan. He got Micah to throw the election by communicating with the voting network. He also healed Nathan’s wife, Heidi and also told him Nathan’s father had “great power”.

Hiro and Ando got a surprise when they went to the sword repair shop and bumped into Hiro’s father. Before we weren’t sure what side he was on but now we know he’s good. Hiro’s father, Kaito, teaches him how to wield a sword in hopes of killing Sylar. When they emerge from the back room where they practiced, they noticed Ando was gone. His father says Ando will probably die if he tries to kill Sylar himself.

Sylar tips off an FBI agent about Ted’s location and she arrests him. Peter and Claire, who were with Ted, managed to escape.

D.L. and Jessica surprise Nathan in his den and tell him about Linderman kidnapping Micah. They then make it to Linderman’s office and face off with him. Linderman goes to shoot Jessica when D.L. steps in the way. Before he falls to the ground, D.L. sticks his hand through Linderman’s brain and pulls it out, killing him. Thanks to the preview, you realize D.L. isn’t dead yet.

Molly, the human Hero tracker, is getting better thanks to Suresh’s treatment. Her ability to find people is slowly coming back. She tracks Matt and tells Suresh he’s nearby. Bennet confronts Thompson and kills him. Bennet finds the room with Molly & Suresh, finds Molly and has her at gunpoint, when Suresh points a gun at him. We last see them stuck in a stalemate.

Sylar stops the FBI carrying Ted. He causes a crash with his powers, opens the door and takes Ted’s ability.

As Nathan gives his acceptance speech, Hiro leaves his father to find Ando before he finds Sylar. The last words you hear in the episode is Sylar saying “Boom!” as he practices his new ability.

We’ll have to wait until next week’s exciting conclusion that’ll no doubt open up more questions.

Heroes: Episode 21

Every time I think they’ve outdone themselves, the writers of “Heroes” do it again. Let’s start where the show did with Hiro and Ando transported back to the past. Both of them know what they have to do thanks to the comic book Hiro got from “Mr. Issac”. The problem is all of the words the characters say aren’t included. Hiro’s powers help him out of a sticky encounter with Sylar but in the end discovers his sword is broken. Even so, he’s still able to transport himself and Ando. So you have to ask the question, how important is the sword to his powers?
Sylar has a big role in the episode. You find out there’s still some “good” in him. He goes back to his mother’s house to talk with her. She pushes him away after finding he has strange powers. They fight and he ends up accidentially killing her with a pair of scissors. After her death, his brain twists even more and he decides his mother was right about his chances of being President. This could play out interestingly in the future. Will there be some sort of race between Sylar and Nathan Petrelli? Sylar at one point also makes a call to Mohinder asking for his help, only to reject his assistance after hearing Mohinder calling 911.
Micah finds out Linderman kidnapped him and the person he thinks is his mother is really Candice. Niki and D.L. realize Linderman knows everything about them. Why they’re not more concerned about Micah was a little puzzling to me during last night’s episode.
We also learn about a girl named Molly who has the ability to locate anyone in the world just by thinking about them. She has a disease that Mohinder can heal because he’s carrying the antibody.
Claire and Peter go against Nathan’s wishes and set out to save the world from the bomb. Peter still doesn’t know if it’s him, Sylar or Ted who end up going nuclear. At the end of the show, Peter gets too close to Ted and starts absorbing his power. That’s where the show ends and hooks you for next week.
So this got me thinking if there was one special power that you could have what would it be? Being able to see the future interests me. But it’s something I’ll give a little more thought to first!

“Heroes” Returns

Last night’s show got everyone caught back up what was happening on the show. It’s been off the air for several weeks and a lot of people waited for its return.

The interesting part for me is finding out who really is the bad guy. We know Sylar is evil and he’s killed several people to absorb their powers. We also know Linderman isn’t the nicest of people. Here are my questions and thoughts from last night’s episode. They are developing something with the Petrelli family. Peter and Nathan’s mother knew about their powers along with Claire’s ability to heal herself. Does the mother have some sort of power that she’s not exposed? I thought at one point during the episode Peter’s death was a way the writers could explain why Nathan and Linderman teamed up. “You heal my brother and I’ll do your bidding.” But that didn’t happen. Peter healed himself.

I’m getting tired of Candice, the illusion caster, who can transform herself into anyone else. It’s too convenient to do that every time. HRG’s wife, Nikki and even Claire… That’s enough all ready with her morphing. What does Linderman have planned for Micah?

The alliance of HRG, Parkman and Ted is an interesting one. They’re headed to NYC to destroy the tracking device that allows the corporation to find the “Heroes” anywhere in the world. I like where they’re going with this storyline.

The two minutes with Hiro at the end of the show just has to make you wonder, what’s next? The timeline constructed inside Issac’s studio gave a little (very little) insight into what could happen next but then the cliffhanger. You hear a sword come out of its sheath and it’s Hiro but looking a lot less geeky. Who is he and is he good or bad. We’re just six days away from the answer. Hopefully… NBC.com gives a little insight into this question. Hiro in the future doesn’t turn evil. He’s trying to find the answers and save the world and the cheerleader. He reveals that Sylar kills Claire. He’s looking for the person to kill Sylar first so that doesn’t happen.

Stay tuned!!

‘Heroes’ Only Getting Better

This show continues not to disappoint!

Every time you think you know who’s side people are on, they throw a wrench into the works. Mohinder Suresh, who we thought was oblivious to the fact Sylar befriended him and was using his information only to increase his powers. Last night, Suresh showed he was no dummy and spiked Sylar’s tea with some sort of chemical that rendered Sylar powerless. In another twist, Sylar struck back and ended up lashing out at Suresh. Last time we saw him, he was hanging from the ceiling.

Claire found out her grandmother knows about her son’s powers. She told Claire she’s been trying to keep her safe but it’s not been easy. We never knew before tonight Nathan Petrelli’s mother understood that her sons had special powers. She’s teamed up with the man who can clear memories.

Hiro got his sword and transported himself and his friend to the future where it appears as if a bomb exploded.

The show has more twists and turns than just this. Again, I’m telling you, if you haven’t watched this show. Go to nbc.com and watch some of the old episodes and you, like me, will be hooked. The next new episode is April 23rd.
