RiverSweep
A beautiful day to clean-up the Ohio Canal Corridor. Hundreds of people volunteered their time on Saturday morning to clean-up a lot of the city. In just this one spot in the West Bank alone, About 15 people helped fill this dumpster. The space still isn’t totally cleaned up but that’s the goal. An exceptional effort by everyone.
Apartment Mess
Below you’ll see some of the pictures I took after I got home from work today. Here’s the story I’ve gotten about what happened at my apartment. A man was getting ready to clean some of the windows on my building when the lift he was on started acting funny. Apparently, the hydraulics failed. The worker had enough sense of mind to unclasp himself from the bucket and jump to a nearby balcony before the lift started swinging down several floors. The worker was on the ninth floor, which is six stories off the ground. The lift hit the building at least three times, it caused damage to at least three suites.
The worst damage was to my apartment. The lift hit my bedroom window hard. I was not the suite at the time. The window workers say the sound would have been unbelievably loud. Luckily, no one was hurt. There wasn’t any real damage to my belongings, that I notice now. I’m told the worker told his company today was his last day cleaning windows.

A Busy Day
My day began bright and early at 11:15pm Tuesday night. I go into work by midnight and helped get "Good Morning Cleveland" on the air. I read over some sweeps pieces we have coming up next week. You'll get to see behind-the-scenes at "Wheel Of Fortune". It's a side of Pat Sajak & Vanna White you don't get to see much.
I left about 9:45am and had to stop to get a birthday gift for someone. While shopping I got two calls from two people we're working with for an upcoming live remote.
I also talked with someone about a piece I want one of our anchors to do. It's a cool behind the scenes in Cleveland story that'll be interesting for everyone.
I'm also gearing up for the RiverSweep this weekend. Let's hope the weather holds out for the big clean-up!
It's almost Noon, I'd like to sleep now.
